That is a long job title...ya we know
This role lives somewhere between Project Management, Graphic Design, and figuring out why the embroidery machine suddenly developed a personality.
It’s a dynamic position in a small business, which means some days you’ll build systems, some days you’ll organize production chaos, and some days you may carry a box of hats while discussing thread colors and workflow bottlenecks.
Creative, process-minded people who like solving problems, improving systems, and actually seeing the results of their work will thrive. People who enjoy endless meetings about meetings… probably won’t.
What You’ll Do
You will lead the day-to-day operations of our customization department, helping ensure jobs move smoothly from sales → production → finished product → happy customer.
This role is part:
- Project Manager — organizing chaos and keeping jobs moving
- Production Leader — balancing priorities, deadlines, and people
- Graphic Design Support — setting up artwork, creating mockups, and building art proof packets for customer approval
- Quality Control Manager — making sure details don’t slip through the cracks
- Process Builder — creating systems that make work easier and scalable
- Team Coach — training operators and holding standards
- Embroidery & Heat Press Operator — jumping behind the machines when production needs support
- Department Owner — overseeing machine maintenance, inventory, organization, and keeping the customization space running smoothly
What We're Looking For
On day one, we care more about mindset, leadership, and operational ability than whether you know every embroidery machine or heat press. We can train machinery. Teaching someone to organize chaos, lead a team, and immediately notice that a logo is ¼ inch too low because “it just doesn’t look right”… that’s tougher.
We want someone who thinks like an operator, notices details others miss, and takes ownership.
Strongly Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following:
- Project Management
- Leading teams and holding people accountable
- Workflow improvement and process building
- Graphic design, artwork setup, or proof creation
- Embroidery, screen print, or heat press production
You might be a great fit if you:
- You naturally organize chaos and build systems
- You notice details other people miss
- You hold high standards without becoming impossible to work with
- You enjoy solving problems instead of working around them
- You’ve led people before and understand accountability
- You like rolling up your sleeves and helping behind the machines when needed
- You want your work to actually matter and see the impact of what you build
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay based on experience
- Growth opportunities
- Family-first culture
- 401(k) with match
- Health insurance
- PTO/Vacation
- Gym reimbursement
- The improvements you make, the people you lead, and the systems you build will directly shape the department
