Job Summary
As an essential member of the Five Points Washington team, this part-time position is responsible for maintaining operations and assisting customers at the Live @ Five Points Event Center concession stand.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Under the supervision of the Performing Arts Development Manager, Concession Stand Crew Members will be responsible for:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service while working in a variety of slow and fast paced environments
- Serve food, non-alcoholic beverages and occasionally alcoholic beverages to customers
- Ensure proper handling of all cash and card transactions
- Prepare popcorn and any other food for serving throughout the shift
- Ensure that all areas are properly sanitized, and general upkeep is met
- This includes, but is not limited to prep stations, sweeping, mopping, disposing of all trash, coffee makers, crock pots, hot dog machine, etc.
- Follow all designated closing procedures to ensure that areas are secure
- Assist with inventory, stocking, and product preparation, when needed
- Consistent and effective communication with the theater office regarding event progress, outcomes and overall experience
- Properly follow all sanitation procedures to follow local health department regulations
- Performing any other job duties as assigned by the Theater Manager, Events Venue Manager or Special Events Coordinator
Qualifications
- Must be 16 years of age or older
- Excellent customer service skills are required
- Must have or be willing to obtain food handler’s license
- Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
- Capacity to multitask with good time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Must be able to work independently, with little supervision
- Ability to work irregular working hours
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors and guests
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with representatives from various groups, vendors, co-workers, and others; maintain irregular and extended working hours; able to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds using appropriate tools. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools and/or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk and hear.
Role-Specific Benefits:
- Pay between $15-$17 per hour
