Job Summary

Duties
*2- man team requried to complete assemblies as needed*
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck for local and regional deliveries, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of goods.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment.
- Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during all driving activities.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for daily operations.
- Manage delivery routes efficiently using mobile devices for navigation and communication with dispatch.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Load & unload freight carefully, practicing safe lifting practices to prevent injury and damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for material handling operations when required during loading or unloading processes.
- Ensure proper weight handling in the workplace by following safe manual handling practices at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a strong background in commercial truck driving and warehouse operations.
- Skilled in manual transmission driving, route planning, and adherence to traffic regulations.
- Familiarity with material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following manual handling procedures.
- Knowledge of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations related to commercial vehicle operation.
- Experience with mobile devices for route navigation, communication, and delivery documentation.
- Strong organizational skills for managing load & unload processes efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Ability to handle weight appropriately in the workplace using safe lifting practices during cargo handling tasks.
