Position Summary
The Training Specialist (Operations) Intern will play a key role in supporting the development and continuous improvement of training programs across Apex Workforce & Talent Foundation. This intern will collaborate directly with department heads and leadership to design, create, and update training materials, courses, and tools that enhance operational excellence and support the professional growth of Academy participants and staff.
This is a hands-on learning opportunity for individuals passionate about instructional design, adult learning, and organizational development.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet regularly with Department Heads and Program Leaders (Subject Matter Experts SME's) to identify training needs and gather content requirements.
- Design and develop new training materials, courses, and programs using Google Workspace tools.
- Update and improve existing training materials, manuals, onboarding programs, and operational tools.
- Google Slides presentations
- Google Docs training guides and SOPs
- Google Forms for assessments and feedback
- Google Sheets for tracking and reporting
- Additional tools (videos, checklists, interactive modules, etc.)
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the Apex Training Hub / Knowledge Hub.
- Support the delivery and facilitation of training sessions when needed.
- Help evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Assist in designing and developing comprehensive training programs using adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).
- Support the creation of e-learning courses and instructional content utilizing tools like Adobe Captivate and LMS (Learning Management System) platforms such as Enterprise Learning Management or Workday.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for virtual meetings.
- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace (Google Slides, Docs, Forms, Sheets, and Drive).
- Demonstrated knowledge of learning theories, instruction, and adult education principles.
- Familiarity with instructional design models such as ADDIE and experience developing e-learning content with Adobe Captivate or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly through public speaking or presentation formats.
- Experience with LMS platforms like Enterprise Learning Management systems or Workday is preferred.
- Basic understanding of talent management concepts including succession planning, performance management, mentoring, and employee evaluation.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects using SharePoint or similar content development tools.This paid internship provides an excellent platform for aspiring HR professionals or instructional designers eager to develop their expertise in corporate training, learning technology, and human capital management while making a meaningful impact on organizational success.

Commitment
- Program Length: 26–52 weeks (with option to extend)
- Weekly Hours: 20–24 hours (Morning or Afternoon session blocks)
- Must attend weekly 1:1 meetings, huddles, and training sessions with Training Supervisor/Mentor
- Must complete all assigned learning objectives and projects
