We're seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our fast-paced development effort and contribute to the success of a very challenging and rewarding mission.
In this position you will:
Collaborate with a high-performing team of software engineers to develop, enhance, and sustain satellite mission planning capabilities.
Design, develop, test, and demonstrate mission planning software solutions for both internal and external customers.
Serve as a Satellite Mission Planning Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing technical leadership and guidance on mission planning concepts, algorithms, operational workflows, and software implementations.
Lead the design and implementation of complex mission planning features, ensuring technical solutions align with mission requirements and system architecture.
Support requirements analysis, architecture development, technical trade studies, and software design reviews.
Mentor software engineers and provide guidance on mission planning domain knowledge, software design, and implementation best practices.
Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, daily scrums, demonstrations, retrospectives, and release planning.
Collaborate with systems engineers, operators, architects, and customers to translate mission needs into software capabilities.
