Senior Engineer, Billing and Revenue Systems
Location: 100% Remote (MUST be a US resident)
Salary: $170-190k (some flexibility if needed) + full benefits
Introduction
We are looking for a Senior Engineer to own the systems, integrations, and workflows that power our billing and revenue operations.
This role combines software engineering, business systems, and finance. We are looking for someone who understands SaaS billing and revenue workflows, can architect complex integrations, and is capable of building custom solutions when business needs extend beyond off-the-shelf platforms.
What You Will Do
- Own architecture for billing and revenue-related systems
- Build and maintain integrations between HubSpot, Maxio, payment processors, internal platforms, and other business systems
- Develop custom applications, APIs, automations, and workflows to support revenue operations
- Partner closely with Finance and Accounting to design scalable solutions
- Improve the accuracy, reliability, and performance of billing and financial data flows
- Support new products and pricing models that impact billing and invoicing
- Troubleshoot complex system and integration issues
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical planning
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Business Systems Engineering, Revenue Systems Engineering, or a similar role
- Strong experience with SaaS billing, subscription management, usage-based pricing, invoicing, and revenue operations.
- Demonstrated experience partnering with Finance/Accounting teams to create and drive systems, implementations, integrations and workflows
- Strong coding skills in at least one language such as Golang, JavaScript or similar
- Experience designing and supporting API-based integrations
- Experience with CRM, ERP, billing, and payment platforms
- Experience building workflows and automations across multiple systems
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Nice to Have
Experience with Maxio, Chargebee, Recurly, Zuora, NetSuite, HubSpot, or similar platforms- Experience with payment processors and financial systems
- Experience with Google Cloud or other cloud platforms
- Familiarity with finance, accounting, or revenue recognition concepts
