We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care by assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, aseptic technique, and medication administration, along with a commitment to enhancing patient outcomes.
*Responsibilities*
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications,.
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure proper labeling of all prescriptions.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to prepare sterile products in compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication management.
- Perform inventory management tasks, including ordering and restocking medications.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and policies.
*Requirements*
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmacy practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting.
**Preferred Skills** (any of the following will be beneficial to your candidacy)
-Sterile compounding
-Non-sterile compounding (including hazardous drugs)
-Experience with USP guidelines
-Experience with compounding SOP's, MFR's, CR's
-Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software
-IT and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
