CNC Programmer/Set-up Machinist
Schedule: Shift 1: Mon-Thurs 4:30am-3pm
Pay Range: $35-50/hour depending on experience and technical abilities

Position
We are seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Programmer/Set-up Machinist to develop, optimize, and support CNC machining processes for the production of precision components. This hands-on role is responsible for programming 8-axis CNC equipment, supporting first article production, improving manufacturing efficiency, and collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create CNC programs and shop drawings using CAD/CAM software such as Esprit and/or Mastercam.
- Develop and optimize machining processes for new and existing products.
- Coordinate tooling selection, qualification, and standardization.
- Establish set-up standards and procedures.
- Set up and run first article parts.
- Support manufacturing operations with tooling modifications and troubleshooting.
- Improve cycle times, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate across departments to improve manufacturing capabilities.
- Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements.
- Maintain ERP records.
- Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED plus technical training or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of CNC machining and programming experience
- Experience programming with Esprit and/or Mastercam
- Ability to set-up Swiss CNC machines – Tsugami and Citizen
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills
Preferred
- Advanced CAD/CAM programming experience.
- Experience supporting medical device or high-precision manufacturing environments.
- Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
