Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

We're seeking a Data Entry Specialist to join our Construction News team. In this role, you'll review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to extract key project information and enter it into our proprietary database. Your work helps thousands of construction professionals stay informed about commercial building opportunities throughout Texas.
What You'll Do
- Review construction plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Enter project information accurately into our proprietary database.
- Update existing project information as changes occur.
- Coordinate incoming plans and addenda.
- Verify and maintain contact information for architects, engineers, contractors, andowners.
- Work closely with our editorial team to resolve discrepancies and ensure data accuracy.
- Document communications with information sources.
- Contribute ideas to improve data quality and member service.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has excellent attention to detail.
- Types at least 45 WPM.
- Is comfortable using computers and learning new software.
- Enjoys organized, process-driven work.
- Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Works well independently while contributing to a team.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous data entry or office experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to interpret written information and follow established procedures.
