Tanner's Collision Center has been in business for 40 plus years and we are looking to add an experienced body technician to our staff. At Tanner's we take pride in our work and quality comes first. We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years experience in a body shop who is self motivated, knowledgeable, and can work unsupervised. Must have own tools and a valid drivers license.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles to their original condition with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and appearance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of vehicle makes and models, utilizing your technical skills and passion for automotive repair. Your collision repairs will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Assess vehicle damage thoroughly and develop effective repair plans using auto estimating tools
- Perform body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and structural alignment using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment such as MIG welding and soldering
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components during repairs
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high-quality craftsmanship
- Maintain detailed documentation of repair procedures and communicate effectively with customer care staff about the repair process
- Safely handle heavy lifting equipment and adhere to safety protocols throughout all repair activities
Skills
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in auto body repair is highly preferred
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various power tools and hand tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance
- Skilled in communication
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs
- Familiarity with sheet metal work, auto body alignment, welding techniques, and auto estimating procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to completing tasks efficiently

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
