Ashton Medical Lodge is hiring a full-time Transport Driver in Midland, Texas. This position features a base pay of $18/hr with a Monday through Friday schedule that keeps your work routine predictable. Safe medical transit requires precise scheduling, reliable route management, and careful execution. You will manage local transport logistics to ensure residents reach medical appointments on time and return safely to our 144-bed facility.

- Pay Rate: Starting $18/hr (increases with experience)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with rotating on-call weekends (Flexible based on resident appointment times)

Responsibilities
- Transport residents safely to and from external medical appointments and scheduled facility outings.
- Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle, utilizing proper physical transfer techniques.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, vehicle inspection reports, and appointment schedules.
- Coordinate closely with the nursing department to ensure resident medical records and transit paperwork are ready.
- Provide basic CNA assistance and monitoring during transport to ensure resident comfort and stability.
Job Requirements
- Active Texas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Valid Driver License.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Clean driving record maintained for at least the past 2 years (required for insurance purposes).
- Reliable transportation for dependable attendance.
- Must pass a criminal background check (legal requirement for SNFs).
- Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Environment & Facility Details
Ashton Medical Lodge is a 144-bed skilled nursing facility established in 2016. The facility includes specialized internal tracking environments, including a dedicated memory care unit and a behavioral health unit. Clinical operations handle high-acuity needs such as IV therapy, wound care, post-surgical recovery, and chronic disease management. The physical plant features both private and semi-private rooms, central communal dining areas, and outdoor courtyard spaces that require routine resident transit monitoring.
