Duties
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Engage customers with friendly phone etiquette and assist with product inquiries or store information
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or new merchandise to enhance sales opportunities
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to showcase features and benefits to customers
- Stock shelves, organize displays, and assist with merchandising efforts to maintain an appealing store layout
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform basic math calculations with precision
- Assist in inventory management by stocking products and participating in regular stock checks
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering duties in a retail or grocery store setting
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team environments
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with customers and team members
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Knowledge of retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction balancing
- Customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to perform merchandising, stocking, and product demos confidently
