COMMUNITY MANAGER – ON-SITE POSITION Commodore Apartments | 76-Unit Apartment Community
Compensation: $18.50 per hour + On-Site Apartment Included
The Commodore Apartments is seeking a dependable, professional, and resident-focused On-Site Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our 76-unit apartment community.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with property management, leasing, office administration, or customer service experience who enjoys working directly with residents and helping maintain a well-run apartment community.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the apartment community and serve as the primary on-site point of contact for residents and prospective tenants.
- Manage leasing activities, including marketing, lead follow-up, showing apartments, applications, move-ins, move-outs, and resident relations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond professionally to resident questions, concerns, and requests.
- Utilize AppFolio to manage leasing activities, resident information, maintenance requests, work orders, and property-related tracking.
- Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests and communicate with residents and vendors as needed.
- Assist with lease agreements, notices, evictions, contracts, and other legal/administrative property management tasks.
- Maintain accurate property records, files, and documentation.
- Collect and process rent and other resident payments according to company policies.
- Assist with enforcing community rules, lease terms, and property policies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers and assist with negotiating contracts and service agreements.
- Conduct apartment inspections and help ensure vacant units are prepared for new residents.
- Assist with administrative support for the property management team.
- Help maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, safety, and professionalism of the community.
- Handle resident concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a positive relationship with the community.
- Perform other standard duties necessary for the successful operation of a 76-unit apartment community.
Requirements
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, office administration, or a related field preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of leasing practices, sales techniques, and resident relations.
- Familiarity with lease agreements and property management administrative procedures.
- Experience with AppFolio or the ability to quickly learn property management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, prospective tenants, vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to handle sensitive resident and property matters with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Dependable, responsible, and comfortable working independently in an on-site environment.
