Job Summary
The CRNA is responsible for administering anesthesia and preparing prescribed solutions following the center's appropriate methods and procedures.
Demonstrate knowledge and skill requirements regarding his/her role in the Safety Management Program (Safety/Security), Infection Control, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Preparedness, Life Safety, Medical Equipment and Utility Systems, and his/her expected level of participation. Submit documentation of annual updates.
Independent and autonomous CRNA
Inform physician of patient's condition during anesthesia
Clinical Responsibilities
Preanesthesia assessment
Preanesthetic medication
General anesthesia and adjuvant drugs
Total Intravenous Anesthesia
Post anesthesia care/discharge
Job Requirements
ASC experience preferred
Previous experience with anesthesia for pain management is preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Master's degree in nursing
Has a current state licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse
Certification as a nurse anesthetist
Current BCLS and ACLS certification
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Center
Hours and Working Conditions
Our TX ASCs in Plano and Hurst are open Monday- Friday. No weekends, Holidays or Call.
Hazards: Occasional contact with communicable diseases, electrical equipment, blood borne pathogens, etc.
Personal protective equipment: Provided if necessary (gowns, gloves, masks, head cover)
