Student Enrollment: 205 students (PreK–8)
Start Date: September 1, 2025 (with training and on-boarding in August)
Hours: 2–5 days per week, we're open to hiring either part-time or full-time
Compensation: $32–$42.50 per hour, based on experience and certification
Position Summary:
Saint Peter School in Cambridge, MA is seeking a caring, organized, and skilled School Nurse to join our school community. Working closely with our existing part-time nurse, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the health and well-being of our 205 students, ranging from preschool through eighth grade. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff during school hours
- Manage and dispense medications in accordance with physician orders and school policies
- Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
- Monitor immunization compliance and communicate with families as needed
- Collaborate with staff, families, and local health providers to support student wellness
- Respond to public health guidance and implement school-wide health protocols as needed
- Provide basic health education and resources to the school community
Qualifications:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience working with children or in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and staff
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of a Catholic school
