Diesel Mechanic ($25 - $40 / hour + Heavy OT)
The Pay & Benefits:
- Pay: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour (Based on experience).
- Hours: 50 – 60 hours per week.
- Overtime: Time and a half paid after 40 hours.
- Reliability: We have a massive backlog of work; you will not run out of hours here.
About the Role: We are a high-volume diesel repair shop in Kilgore looking for mechanics who want to put their head down and turn wrenches. We don’t care about fluff; we care about diagnostic skills, speed, and getting the job done right the first time.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Heavy Repair: Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines (Cummins, CAT, Detroit, etc.).
- Systems: Handling everything from fuel injectors and pistons to air brakes, AC, and suspension.
- Maintenance: Conducting thorough inspections and preventive maintenance to keep our customers' fleets on the road.
- Efficiency: Maintaining accurate records of repairs and keeping a clean, organized bay.
What You Need:
- Experience: Proven track record as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Tools: Must have your own full set of tools suitable for heavy-duty diesel repair. Minimum requirement: At least one tool box 40 inches wide or larger.
- Knowledge: Proficient with diagnostic tools and software. Experience with hydraulics or farm machinery is a plus.
- Grit: Ability to work hard, stay focused, and handle the pace of a high-volume shop.
