Community Alternatives, Inc. (CAI) is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with disabilities in residential settings. If you’re driven by purpose and want to make a real difference every day, we want you on our team.
Priority Openings:
- Evening Shift (1:00 PM – 11:00 PM) (Full-Time, Benefits Eligible)
- Part-Time/Relief (PRN up to 25 hours/week – No Benefits)

What You’ll Do:
- Provide daily living support including meals, personal care, and household tasks
- Promote independence and life skills development
- Support community engagement and social inclusion
- Ensure health, safety, and well-being at all times
- Transport individuals safely per company guidelines
- Document services, incidents, and daily activities accurately
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and safety-focused professionals who are committed to supporting individuals with intellectual, developmental, or other disabilities.
Qualified candidates must:
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess a valid driver’s license with no suspensions or revocked within the past three years.
- Submit a current résumé that clearly describes relevant experience in caregiving, direct support, behavioral health, human services, or working with individuals with disabilities.
- Successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings, including a drug screening, tuberculosis screening, criminal background check, employment and education verification, professional reference checks, and a Department of Motor Vehicles record review.
- Demonstrate effective communication, sound judgment, problem-solving abilities, and strong interpersonal skills.
- Be able to lift, transfer, or move up to 50 pounds and safely assist individuals with mobility and personal support needs.
- Maintain a professional, compassionate, and dependable approach while remaining accountable for the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of every individual in their care.
Previous direct support or caregiving experience is strongly preferred. Candidates who understand person-centered care and are passionate about helping individuals achieve greater independence are encouraged to apply.
