Vigilant Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Locum Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join a collaborative and highly respected anesthesia team. This is a locum/travel opportunity in Silver Spring, MD in a high-acuity cardiovascular surgical environment where patient safety and quality of care are top priorities.
You will provide anesthesia coverage for cardiac and cardiovascular cases, including open heart and structural heart procedures, while working alongside a dedicated group of medical professionals in a team-oriented practice.
What You’ll Do
- Provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for cardiac and cardiovascular surgical cases.
- Support open heart and structural heart procedures.
- Collaborate with surgeons, CRNAs, nurses, perfusionists, and perioperative team members.
- Maintain strong clinical documentation and follow established anesthesia safety protocols.
- Contribute to efficient OR flow in a high-acuity, patient-focused environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Physician anesthesiologist with cardiac anesthesia experience.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Active medical license, with eligibility to practice in Maryland.
- Experience with open heart and structural heart cases.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and comfort working in a high-acuity cardiovascular setting.
Schedule & Coverage
- Flexible schedule options: 5x8, 4x10
- Cardiac/CV case focus.
