What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be hands-on with a wide range of vessels, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining critical systems to keep our customers on the water.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on engines, electrical systems, and onboard equipment
- Diagnose issues quickly and accurately (you know the drill)
- Use power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication skills when needed
- Inspect and troubleshoot using precision tools
- Keep clean, organized records of your work
- Work alongside a solid team to get jobs done efficiently and safely
- Communicate with customers—breaking down complex issues into real-world explanations
- Recommend upgrades or improvements when it makes sense
What You Bring
- Strong mechanical background (marine experience preferred—2+ years or equivalent)
- Experience with Mercury, Yamaha, or Suzuki systems is a big plus
- Confidence using power tools, diagnostics, and fabrication equipment
- Welding and sheet metal skills = bonus points
- Ability to troubleshoot without guesswork
- Good communication skills—you’ll be working with owners, captains, and team members
- Solid time management and the ability to juggle multiple jobs
The Reality of the Job (No Sugarcoating)
- You’ll work in tight spaces, engine rooms, and sometimes less-than-ideal conditions
- It gets hot, cramped, and physical—this is hands-on work
- You’ll be climbing, bending, lifting (70+ lbs), and moving all day
- Some travel may be required
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license + insurable
- Willing to undergo a background check
- Ability to complete work efficiently, professionally, and on time
- Strong attention to detail—especially when working on customer vessels
- Commitment to keeping workspaces clean and organized
- Willingness to attend training and stay sharp in the field
