We are currently seeking a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) to join our team in Richmond, IN, 47374. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology and be certified as a COA. Responsibilities include assisting ophthalmologists with patient care, performing diagnostic tests, and educating patients on eye care.
- Assist ophthalmologists with patient care
- Perform diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and visual field testing
- Educate patients on eye care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic equipment
- Certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA)
- Prior experience in ophthalmology preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
