Job Title: Childcare Provider
Organization: Riveon Mental Health and Recovery
Location: Lorain, OH | Type: Part-time / PRN (M–F, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM coverage)
Salary: $12.00 per hour
Role Overview
Provide direct care and a supportive environment for infants and toddlers (ages 0–5) while their mothers are attending treatment services within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
● Direct Care & Nurturing: Provide daily care, feeding, hygiene, and diaper changes; implement individualized feeding and routine plans.
● Child Development: Lead daily creative/cognitive activities; conduct developmental screenings and ongoing assessments.
● Parent & Family Support: Foster parent-child bonding; model positive interaction techniques; maintain daily logs for parents.
● Safety & Documentation: Maintain a safe, clean environment; monitor for signs of illness or abuse and report immediately; keep accurate records (attendance, health checklists, assessment logs).
● Teamwork: Coordinate closely with residential, clinical, and program staff.
Requirements
● Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
● Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in an early childhood program serving infants and toddlers.
● Certification: Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infant/Toddler Care (or equivalent) strongly preferred.
● Skills: Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work sensitively with a diverse client population.

Pay: $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
License/Certification:
- Child Development Associate Certification (CDA) (Preferred)
