Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as a Forklift Operator and become a vital part of our warehouse operations! Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of forklifts including reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and manual handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems and barcode scanning tools to ensure accurate stock levels and order fulfillment
- Assist with order picking using specialized equipment such as <PERSON> pickers and order picker machines to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic mechanical repairs or coordinate maintenance to ensure safety and operational readiness
- Support shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring proper documentation, and adhering to OSHA safety protocols
- Follow strict warehouse safety standards in production environments, including manual handling procedures and heavy lifting techniques
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall warehouse operations
Experience
- Proven experience operating forklift equipment such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar material handling machinery in a warehouse setting
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and barcode scanning for logistics purposes
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to forklift operation, heavy equipment handling, and manual handling procedures
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving operations, order picking, load & unload activities, and warehouse distribution is highly desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshoot operational issues effectively
- Warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse operations management is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during inventory control tasks
