Job Summary
We are looking For a Direct Care Staff to join our team and care for individuals with developmental disabilities and medical needs in a home setting. Shifts are 7a-7p Thursday, Friday & Saturday
Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor and observe patients for changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns
- Administer medications and document medication administration accurately following HIPAA guidelines
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning in accordance with care plans
- Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers to ensure safety during mobility tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation practices
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a respectful and caring environment
- Document patient observations, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Respond promptly to emergencies using CPR or first aid skills when necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to coordinate care
Skills
- CPR and first aid certification required and additional certifications such as medication administration. Training provided
- Excellent communication skills for working effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams
- Compassionate demeanor with patience for working with vulnerable populations including seniors and individuals with complex health needs
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour
