Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Vacuum Truck Operator to join our dynamic construction and utility services team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating specialized vacuum trucks to perform a variety of tasks including waste removal, hydro excavation, and material transfer on construction sites. Your expertise will ensure efficient, safe, and compliant operations across diverse projects. Duties
- Operate vacuum trucks and related heavy equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and mechanical inspections on vacuum trucks and auxiliary machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Utilize utility locating tools and techniques to accurately identify underground utilities before excavation or drilling activities.
- Follow federal safety regulations and company safety protocols diligently during all operations.
- Assist with site tasks as needed.
- Coordinate with team members to execute efficient water transfer processes on-site.
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance records, and operational reports for project documentation.
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks such as dump trucks, water trucks, tankers, or similar heavy-duty vehicles in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs and routine maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery.
- Hands-on experience with machinery maintenance, and load/disposal operation.
- Familiarity with federal safety regulations and safety regulations specific to heavy equipment operation in work sites.
- Ability to operate specialized equipment and machinery confidently.
- Knowledge of materials handling including tanker operations for liquid transfer or waste disposal tasks.
