Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals and agents safely, following proper chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, and vacuums to maintain floors in pristine condition.
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving furniture, supplies, or equipment.
- Maintain sanitation standards by disinfecting restrooms, kitchens, and common areas regularly.
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or reporting larger issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Proven custodial or janitorial experience in commercial or residential settings.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and familiarity with various cleaning equipment including floor buffers and industrial cleaning tools.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely in accordance with safety protocol adherence.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with staff and visitors when needed.
- Basic understanding of facilities maintenance procedures; experience with industrial cleaning or Porter roles is a plus.
