As a Senior Property Accountant, you'll serve as a key member of the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple properties and entities.

Lead month-end close activities for assigned properties and legal entities

Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules

Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insight into key fluctuations

Support annual audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor requests

Assist with multi-entity reporting, consolidations, and portfolio-level financial analysis

Partner with leadership to enhance accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and internal controls
-
Collaborate with property management, asset management, and other cross-functional teams
-
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen financial reporting processes
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

4+ years of progressive experience in property accounting, real estate accounting, or financial reporting

Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes

Experience with financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis

Advanced Excel skills with the ability to work efficiently with large datasets

Experience supporting audits and maintaining strong internal controls

Experience with Yardi software

Background in commercial real estate, industrial real estate, REITs, institutional real estate, investment management, or similar environments

Experience working in multi-entity accounting structures

Exposure to portfolio-level reporting and consolidations
