Starting at $18.00 per hour with a minimum 2 years previous experience in cooking, culinary arts or other related field.
Job Description:
Line Cooks are expected to satisfy daily production requirements, preparing hot and cold foods. To possess the ability to prepare foods ahead of time, ensuring not to overestimate needs, while keeping the buffet stocked for our Guests consumption during meal periods. Strong attention to the details of food safety and kitchen safety. To uphold the integrity of our “Henning’s Home Made Selections” as well as the Visual Presentation to exceed our guests expectations!
Applicants must have prior culinary/hospitality experience along with basic knowledge of food service production and service.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to keep a clean and safe work environment following food and sanitation guidelines
- Strong ability to follow recipes to Henning’s Standard
- Maintain food inventory/ pars during meal periods, keep Buffet stocked
- Label, Date and Rotate items, ensuring that perishable items are kept at proper holding temperatures
- Ability to promote team work to effectively execute daily production lists
- To expedite and complete any other duties assigned
Work Conditions:
Henning’s offers a Fresh Market Buffet 7 Days a week. We offer Breakfast, Lunch and Weekend Brunch. Work hours can range anywhere from 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM. Hours vary according to needs of the business, weekends and holidays included. You will be expected to safely work in the confines of the kitchen with the standard kitchen equipment, such as knives, slicers, deep fryers, steamers, flat top grill, hot and cold items.
