About the Company
We're a well-established manufacturer that's grown steadily by putting quality and customer relationships first. With operations across multiple states, we need an IT Director who can lead hands-on: someone ready to own our systems, infrastructure, and security.
About the Role
We're looking for an IT Director to own and elevate our technology strategy at a pivotal moment for the business. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll manage, plan, and direct the entire IT function, spanning core business systems (including our NetSuite ERP), infrastructure, security, and disaster recovery, across our U.S. and Mexico facilities. You'll be the person who makes sure the technology backbone of the business, from the manufacturing floor to the executive office, runs securely, reliably, and in step with where the company is headed.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact seat. You'll partner directly with the Senior Leadership to shape and execute the company's strategic IT plan, lead a team of technical support professionals, and drive the system implementations and process improvements that let the rest of the business move faster and with more confidence. If you like owning outcomes, not just tickets, and want a role where your decisions are felt company-wide, this is built for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the strategic IT roadmap, partnering with senior leadership to align technology investments with company-wide business goals.
- Manage and evolve core business systems, including our NetSuite ERP, EDI, ecommerce platform, and Microsoft 365/collaboration tools, working closely with business unit leaders to prioritize and deliver initiatives.
- Direct IT infrastructure and technical support across all locations.
- Lead security, data backup, and disaster recovery practices to keep the business resilient and compliant.
- Direct the evaluation, development, and implementation of new systems and integration tools that support the company's operations as it grows.
- Build and maintain secure, efficient communication platforms across EDI, supplier portals, and internal collaboration tools.
- Hire, coach, and develop the IT team, conducting performance reviews and championing continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Own the IT department budget
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
- 5+ years of IT management experience, with a track record of partnering with functional teams to define and execute key initiatives.
- 5+ years supporting ERP systems and enterprise applications, with hands-on NetSuite experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing, materials planning and control, EDI systems, supply chain management, MRP, warehouse management, and transportation management systems.
- Comfort working across multiple IT platforms and operating systems.
- Experience with application development and managing development projects, including integration tools.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the interpersonal range to communicate clearly with everyone from warehouse teams to executives.
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving instincts; experience with structured methodologies.
- A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality — this role will have visibility into sensitive company information.
