Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and frame styles that best suit their needs
- Process orders for eyewear, including verifying insurance coverage and handling medical billing
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records for each customer
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or issues related to eyewear
- Collaborate with optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
- Stay up-to-date with current trends in eyewear fashion and technology
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail management or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge of medical billing procedures and insurance verification is a plus
- Familiarity with Crystal or other electronic medical record systems is beneficial
- Understanding of retail math concepts for pricing and inventory management
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the dispensing area
