Overview:
Compensation/Benefits

$14.29-$23.34/hr. depending on previous work experience

Evening differential $1.50/hr.

Night differential $1.75/hr.

Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Ortho is a 32 bed orthopedic floor. We also take med/surg overflow and cardiac overflow. We are a center of excellence with certifications in Hip Replacement, Knee Replacements and Hip Fractures.
Responsibilities:
Job Summary

Provides basic patient care

Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment

Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse

Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures

Facilitates processing of patients

Provides clerical receptionist support

Provides coordinating support
-
Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department
Qualifications:
Education
-
High School diploma or equivalent GED
-
Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
Experience
-
Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant
-
Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience
(Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
Licensure/Certification
-
Basic Life Support *(BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re-training for duration of employment
-
Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
