Portland Leather Goods is looking for a Seasonal Photo Editor that can make our products, studio, and lifestyle photography come alive with fun and beautiful photos. Our ideal candidate will have experience editing a high volume of eCommerce product images. Your passion and expertise will be instrumental in exceeding the expectations of our customers and ensure our products are accurately represented. We move fast, so multitasking, organization, and the ability to work swiftly and effectively is a must! This is a seasonal, remote contract based position. We are looking for someone who has the flexibility to work 20-30 hours a week with us from October 2024 - January 2025.

Responsibilities

Edit and retouch photos to enhance image quality, ensuring consistency with brand standards and project specifications
- Adjust color, exposure, and composition to achieve the desired visual effects, correcting any flaws in the images
- Communicate with the Director remotely to understand the project vision and ensure the final images align with the creative direction
- Manage and organize large volumes of images in digital asset management systems, ensuring files are properly labeled, stored, and accessible
- Apply advanced retouching techniques such as frequency separation, object removal, and advanced color adjusting to produce polished, professional-quality images
- Meet strict deadlines by efficiently managing editing tasks and prioritizing work based on project urgency and importance
- Ensure accurate color correction for product images, particularly when working on product photography, to maintain color consistency across product catalog
- Communicate regularly with the Director via Slack, email or Monday.com to stay updated on project timelines and feedback
- Stay current with photo editing software and tools, continuously improving skills and incorporating new techniques to enhance image quality and efficiency
Required Skills

- Knowledge of Digital cameras and lighting scenarios
- High level of knowledge in Adobe Lightroom Classic
- Intermediate level of knowledge in Adobe Photoshop
