Job Summary

Duties
- Supervise daily pet care activities, including feeding, grooming, exercise, and enrichment to promote animal well-being
- Train and mentor team members on proper animal handling, restraint techniques, and safety protocols
- Oversee kennel operations, ensuring cleanliness, sanitization, and adherence to health standards
- Coordinate pet boarding and pet sitting services, ensuring each pet’s needs are met with compassion and professionalism
- Manage team lifting tasks safely when moving heavy supplies or equipment within the facility
- Monitor animal behavior to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate findings to veterinary staff as needed
- Maintain accurate records of pet care activities, sanitation schedules, and incident reports
Skills
- Veterinary experience or veterinary technician background to understand animal health needs
- Pet sitting and pet boarding experience demonstrating reliability and compassion
- Dog training skills for behavior management and obedience reinforcement
- Kennel experience with knowledge of cleaning routines and sanitization procedures
- Animal handling expertise including restraint techniques and understanding animal behavior cues
- Customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their concerns
- Pet grooming abilities to ensure pets look and feel their best
- Outdoor work experience for supervising exercise areas or outdoor play sessions
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during supply restocking or equipment setup
- Knowledge of animal care facility sanitization practices to maintain a hygienic environment
