Responsibilities
- Safely operate your tract trailer to transport freight across designated routes.
- Navigate route driving with precision, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations to guarantee timely deliveries.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and report any issues promptly.
- Manage documentation related to freight movement, including delivery logs, load manifests, and inspection reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate pickups and deliveries while providing updates on progress or delays.
- Maintain a professional appearance and uphold safety protocols at all times during operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving environments; prior delivery driver experience is highly valued.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for manual transmission vehicles; experience operating manual transmission preferred.
- Knowledge of route planning and navigation for efficient delivery schedules.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to trucking operations and cargo securements.
