Banh Voyage is a vibrant, fast-casual Vietnamese restaurant specializing in fresh, authentic banh mi sandwiches, vermicelli noodle bowls, rice plates, and traditional Vietnamese coffee. We are a small, close-knit team and are looking for dedicated individuals to join us at the back of house.
Job Summary
We are seeking reliable, hard-working individuals to fill a front-of-house role of Cashier. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for food. We are a new restaurant and will provide the right candidate(s) plenty of room for growth as we expand our outreach in the community.
Responsibilities
Cashier Duties:
- Greet and serve guests with an emphasis on hospitality and providing excellent customer service.
- Operate Square point-of-sale machine and ring in customer orders.
- Assemble, pack, and ensure correct delivery of take out orders.
- Assist in crafting specialty beverages and brewing coffees and teas.
- Maintain a clean and organized service area as well as dining area.
- Support the kitchen team with receiving and organizing deliveries.
- Support the kitchen team with general cleaning and organization tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and a sense of urgency.
- A strong commitment to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Flexible availability, including weekends
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
