Position Title: 6th/7th Grade Middle Level Teacher
Location: Pingree-Buchanan Secondary School
Reports To: Principal/Superintendent
Start Date: August 14th, 2026
FTE: Full-Time
Contract: 185-day teacher contract
Salary: According to district salary schedule and experience

Pingree-Buchanan School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused 6th/7th Grade Teacher to join our high school team. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with North Dakota State Standards to support the academic and social development of all students. This position would be responsible for teaching the 6th/7th Grade mathematics, and social studies.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons in core subject areas including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
Use data to inform instruction and monitor student progress
Establish and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
Collaborate with colleagues in grade-level and professional learning communities
Implement district curriculum and instructional best practices
Support students’ social-emotional development
Participate in MTSS/RTI processes and student support teams
Supervise students during assigned duties (recess, lunch, etc.)
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-8) or related field
Valid North Dakota Teaching License (or ability to obtain)
Strong classroom management and instructional skills
Knowledge of elementary curriculum and assessment practices
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Experience teaching at the middle level
Familiarity with North Dakota State Standards
Training or experience in literacy and math best practices
