Responsibilities
- Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration date checks, and proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulations.
- Accurately process prescriptions by entering data into pharmacy systems, verifying patient information, and ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws.
- Support patient service activities such as intake, medication administration assistance, and answering patient inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Maintain meticulous records of medication dispensing, compounding procedures, and regulatory documentation to ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication orders, clarify prescriptions, and ensure timely delivery of medications for critical care or acute care patients.
Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, drug regulation, and pharmacy law at the state and federal levels.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited organization is required; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are a plus.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards related to drug safety and patient care.
