Job Title: Collision Center Detailer
Reports To: Collision Center Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)
Position Summary
The Collision Center Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing repaired vehicles for customer delivery. This position ensures every vehicle meets dealership quality standards by performing thorough interior and exterior cleaning, inspecting vehicles for cleanliness and presentation, and assisting with the organization of the Collision Center. The Detailer contributes to customer satisfaction by delivering vehicles in exceptional conditions while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Wash, clean, polish, wax, and detail repaired vehicles prior to customer delivery.

Vacuum, shampoo, clean, and deodorize vehicle interiors.

Inspect completed repairs for cleanliness, fit and finish, and overall presentation before vehicles are released to customers.

Notify management of any concerns or deficiencies identified during the final quality control inspection.

Move vehicles safely throughout the Collision Center, dealership lot, and designated storage areas.

Assist management with organizing vehicle flow and maintaining an orderly Body Shop.

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the detail area, shop, and surrounding workspaces.

Operate detailing equipment including pressure washers, vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently.

Maintain detailing supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.

Follow dealership repair, detailing, and quality control procedures.

Comply with all dealership safety policies, OSHA regulations, and environmental requirements.

Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous automotive detailing or vehicle preparation experience preferred but not required.

Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles (preferred).

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Working Conditions
