Beyond the Label is seeking a warm, playful, patient, and neurodiversity-affirming professional to lead and support social skills and emotional regulation groups for children, teens, and young adults with autism, ADHD, and related neurodevelopmental differences.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with children and teens, understands how to engage through play, and is passionate about helping neurodivergent individuals build confidence, friendships, and life skills.

The ideal candidate is:
- Neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based
- Kind, patient, and emotionally attuned
- Naturally playful and comfortable joining in games and activities
- Experienced with autism, ADHD, sensory needs, and emotional regulation
- Able to maintain structure and clear boundaries
- Creative, energetic, and organized
- Comfortable working with both children and teens
Preferred Backgrounds
We welcome applicants such as:
- Child Development Specialists
- BCBAs
- RBTs with extensive experience
- Special Education Teachers
- Occupational Therapy Assistants
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
- Psychology graduate students
- Licensed or associate therapists
Equivalent experience working extensively with neurodivergent youth is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Lead and co-facilitate social skills groups
- Implement engaging games and structured activities
- Support emotional regulation and sensory needs
- Maintain group expectations and safety
- Communicate professionally with families and staff
- Assist with setup, snack management, and cleanup
- Collaborate to help participants build social confidence and independence
Populations Served
Children, teens, and young adults with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Sensory processing differences
- Social communication challenges
- Emotional regulation difficulties
Compensation
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and credentials (approximately $26–$40/hour).
Schedule
Part-time with evening, Saturday & Sunday opportunities. Potential for increased responsibilities and leadership as the program expands.
