Scope: The Welder’s primary responsibility is MIG welding of cold rolled steel parts. Each job must run with safety, accuracy and timeliness in the welding area.
Pay: $21.60/per hour
SECOND SHIFT PREMIUM: $0.50 per hour
Shift: 2nd Shift
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 3:30pm-2:00am
Job duties:

Create quality welds according to blueprints
-
Inspect welds for accuracy
-
Prepare product to be welded by grinding steel parts
-
Change wire, welding as needed
-
Responsible for identifying and moving all finished product to the proper location

Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner

Operate fork lift
-
Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required

Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required

Other job-related duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibility of this position.
Job Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must have prior MIG welding experience obtained through work and/or school programs

Must be able to read and interpret blueprints

Must be able to acquire AWS and CWB Certifications

Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required

Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screenings
Ability to work a ten (10) hour, four (4)-day work week (Monday thru Thursday)
Must be able to work occasional overtime including Friday’s
