Assistant Project Manager
- Responsible for following the assigned bid schedule and responding to customer request for bids
- Follow all estimating, bidding and selling practices established by the company.
- Capable of creating full and accurate material and labor quantity takeoffs in accordance with plans and specifications
- Follow up on all projects bid
- Coordinate the project start-up phase of each project.
- Review terms and conditions of contracts on jobs sold to ensure that the contract amount, plan dates, scope, conditions, exclusions and schedule of work matches what was bid.
- Prepare Submittals, Schedule of Values, Job Information Sheet and Job Work Orders
- Attend Internal and external Preconstruction/Project Management Meetings.
- Manage change requests, pricing and procurement of related change orders.
- On-site review of work completed to insure proper installation and correction of deficiencies.
- Monthly review of Job Profitability Reports.
- Perform other related duties as required to ensure a safe workplace, quality construction and timely completion of each project.
Desired Skills and Experience: College degree or years of experience in Construction Sciences, Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
- 2-5 years’ experience in Estimating and Project Manager in Commercial Construction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, motivated self-starter with the ability to set and achieve goals
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Handle multiple tasks and responsibilities as well as change
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Exhibit technical proficiency
