Davis Drug is an independently owned community pharmacy serving Johnston County for over 50 years. We are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our community pharmacy team in Kenly, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care, building strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers, and supporting the health needs of our local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescription medications
- Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and health management
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
- Administer immunizations and other pharmacy-based clinical services as permitted by law
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Assist with inventory management, medication ordering, and quality assurance procedures
- Promote patient wellness through medication therapy management and health screenings
Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited pharmacy school
- Active North Carolina Pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a community or retail pharmacy setting
- Immunization certification
- Experience with Pioneer pharmacy management system
