Overview
Join our dynamic construction team as a Concrete Foreman, where you will lead and oversee concrete construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that all concrete work is executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As a Concrete Foreman, you will coordinate crews, manage schedules, interpret technical drawings, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Your leadership will drive project success while fostering a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and manage concrete crews on-site, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities
- Coordinate project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and Primavera, ensuring timely completion of phases
- Oversee quality control processes, including reviewing construction drawings and schematics for accuracy and compliance
- Manage construction safety protocols in accordance with OSHA and federal safety regulations, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections
- Collaborate with project managers on budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation using HeavyBid and other construction management tools
- Supervise subcontractors and vendors, ensuring adherence to contracts and project specifications
- Conduct site inspections, oversee construction schedule coordination, and ensure work meets all regulatory standards
Experience
- Proven experience managing heavy civil or commercial concrete construction projects with a strong background in supervising teams in a construction management role
- Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), and quality assurance practices
- Proficiency with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Primavera, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications for concrete projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning effectively
- Strong communication skills for managerial coordination, crew management, and client interactions
- Hands-on experience with construction site safety management practices and federal safety compliance regulations
- Familiarity with the use of tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing when necessary in specialized projects
