Colorado Springs Senior Care dba Home Instead®
Objective:
Home Instead® Care Professionals provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes. These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead® Care Professionals help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care, and compassion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License in the state of Colorado or other relevant license or education
- At least 2 years of professional home care, memory care, or related healthcare experience preferred
Essential Job Requirements:
- Ability to learn and use technology for franchise offices using the home care tablet and for online training and development
- Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Possess valid auto insurance
- Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
- Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
- Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete all required training designated by franchise office
- Participate in company sponsored training and social events including Care Professional meetings
- Report hours according to office policy and communicate changes in availability in a timely manner
- Participate in annual Engagement and Pulse Survey
- Document client information in Client Journal or within the operating software app
- May be required to run errands and provide incidental transportation for a client using your vehicle or a client’s vehicle
- Provide Personal Care services which could include:
- Assisting with bathing
- Assisting with grooming
- Assisting with toileting and incontinence issues
- Assisting with total bed-bound care, including changing undergarments and repositioning
- Provide Specialized services which could include:
- Advanced Alzheimer’s/dementia care
- Hospice Care
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life
- Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions.
- Maintain regular communication with supervisor and franchise office staff
- Provide Companionship & Home Helper services which could include:
- Companionship and conversation
- Providing stabilization and assistance with walking
- Preparing meals and cleaning up meal-related items
- Providing medication reminders and appointment reminders
- Performing light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
- Washing laundry
- Running errands
- Accompanying clients to appointments
PRN Requirements:
- PRN employees must work a minimum of one (1) shift per calendar month and/or their scheduled shifts at the agreed upon day(s) and time(s).
- Must be willing and able to complete shifts in all the following areas: Colorado Springs, Fountain, Security-Widefield, Manitou Springs, Woodland Park, Divide, Florissant, Monument, Palmer Lake, Black Forest, Falcon, Peyton, Calhan
- Standard company policies related to performance, attendance, conduct, confidentiality, and compliance apply to PRN employees.
- PRN employees are expected to perform all assigned duties and meet established job performance standards during scheduled shifts.
