Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:
- Produce digital content including reels, highlight videos, interviews, and promotional materials
- Create story-driven content that highlights achievements in extracurricular activities including athletics, arts, and community involvement
- Write articles, blog posts, and content for Potawatomi Times and PCC platforms
- Develop recurring content series including athlete spotlights, program features, success stories, etc.
- Capture and edit high-quality photo and video content of events, programs, classes, and operations
- Attend local and regional events to highlight Forest County Potawatomi Tribal Member athletes and participants, including the North American Indigenous Games
- Provide content support for emerging initiatives, including the development of a competitive training facility and the promotion of Tribal Members, coaches, instructors, and community members
- Support media growth including commercials, promotional videos, new platforms (podcasts/video updates), and maintain organized media libraries
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, media production, or related field; or 4 years of equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in photography, videography, media production, or storytelling
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.) or similar tools
- Must have a valid, clean driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends as needed for events
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in sports photography, reporting, or media production
- Experience conducting interviews and producing feature-style content
