We are seeking an experienced Staff Accountant with strong QuickBooks Online expertise and a background in public accounting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with multiple clients, takes pride in producing accurate financial information, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
This is an in-office position located in Franklin, Tennessee.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintain accurate general ledger records
- Handle full-cycle accounting for multiple clients
- Review and clean up accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bookkeeping issues
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Communicate professionally with clients to obtain information and answer accounting questions
- Work closely with team members to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are exceeded
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using QuickBooks Online
- Previous experience working in a CPA or public accounting firm
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Preferred:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Experience with payroll, sales tax, or other small business accounting function
