Duties
- Perform customized massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques to address individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans tailored to each client’s physiology and health goals.
- Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend ongoing therapies for pain management and occupational health improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to all sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to develop comprehensive wellness plans for clients.
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuing education to enhance your skills in areas such as physiology knowledge and advanced massage techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice professionally.
- Proven experience in patient service with a focus on customer satisfaction and personalized care.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices.
- Skilled in various massage modalities including deep tissue massage, etc.
- Strong understanding of pain management strategies and occupational health considerations.
- Prior experience working in a med spa or similar setting is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to patient assessment and service delivery.
