Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks including slicing, dicing, portioning, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and safety standards
- Support the culinary team in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Follow strict food handling procedures to uphold food safety management protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen areas by adhering to cleaning schedules and sanitation guidelines
- Ensure compliance with safety standards in production processes and contribute to a safe working environment at all times
Experience
- Proven food service or restaurant experience demonstrating knowledge of food industry practices
- Hands-on culinary experience including knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience in food safety management and understanding of hygiene standards in food handling
- Catering experience is a plus, showcasing ability to manage large-scale meal preparations
- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and team members
