Ace Tailors is seeking a capable and motivated Store Manager to lead daily operations and support company growth. This position is responsible for supervising staff, ensuring top-quality customer service, and maintaining operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a background in tailoring, and a commitment to a smooth and successful store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct expert fittings and provide tailoring consultations to clients
Accurately price and assign alterations to appropriate staff
Manage staff scheduling, including arranging substitutes for absent employees
Communicate store supply and operational needs to the Operations Manager
Track inventory and perform end-of-day sales and cashier reconciliation
Oversee garment quality control and ensure timely completion of alterations
Conduct skills assessments and technical tests for prospective tailors
Supervise and evaluate store staff, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and tailoring staff
Ensure machinery is maintained and functional
Required Skills & Competencies:
Strong planning, time management, and multitasking abilities
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Professional, approachable, and solution-oriented demeanor
Proficiency in using POS systems and basic office software
Ability to coach and guide tailors on alteration techniques
Skilled in conflict resolution and team leadership
Minimum Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of management experience
Basic tailoring skills required
Fluency in English and Spanish preferred
