Job Summary:
The Server is responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage service to members and their guests in a courteous and efficient manner. This role involves creating a welcoming dining experience, offering personalized service, and maintaining the club’s high standards of hospitality. The Server ensures that all member requests are handled promptly and professionally, contributing to the overall satisfaction and enjoyment of the club's dining facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet Members and Guests: Warmly welcome members and their guests upon arrival, presenting menus, and offering recommendations on food and beverages.
- Take Orders: Accurately take food and beverage orders, communicating special requests to the kitchen or bar staff.
- Serve Food and Beverages: Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally, adhering to club service standards.
- Maintain Knowledge: Stay informed on the club’s menu, including daily specials, wine selections, and upcoming events, to answer questions and provide suggestions.
- Set Up and Break Down: Prepare dining areas by setting tables, refilling condiments, and ensuring cleanliness before and after each service.
- Collaborate with Team: Work in collaboration with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service, timely delivery of orders, and a high level of communication between departments.
- Member Satisfaction: Respond to any member complaints or concerns with professionalism, ensuring quick resolution or escalation to management if necessary.
- Adhere to Club Policies: Follow all club policies and procedures, including those regarding dress code, health and safety regulations, and alcohol service laws.
- Billing and Payments: Prepare accurate checks and process member payments or charges to their accounts.
Qualifications:
- Previous serving experience in a fine dining or private club setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Knowledge of food, wine, and spirits.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and special events.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry trays or supplies up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to navigate the dining areas, which may involve stairs or outdoor sections.
Shifts can range from 4-8 hours depending on event needs.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
