Responsibilities:
- Address external / internal emails.
- Work with Lumpers on scheduled loads to make sure they are working on the correct load.
- Understand how to read a Health Certificate for case counts and shipping marks.
- Complete Case Counts once lumpers are done
- Present imports to Inspector & complete any samples or physical inspections needed.
- Take pictures of damage for customers.
- Create paperwork for all damage that need to be disposed of.
- Answer phones calls
- Interacting with USDA inspectors
- Work with the Shipping department to ensure all imports are shipped correctly.
The above list of Responsibilities is not the only responsibilities that an Import specialist is required to do.
